Opportunity’s to Fellowship

Happy Lunch Bunch

Our Happy Lunch Bunch will meet Tuesday, July 21 at noon for our “picnic” (inside of course.) We will provide “Mariner’s Ball Park hot dogs” and all the trimmings. Bring anything you wish to complete our summer picnic lunch. Come for good conversation and good food.

Trip for Fun

You asked! We have an answer! Several members have asked for a trip to the beach. We will take the van down to Seaside, OR on Thursday, July 23. Meet at 8:30am so we will have time to walk the board walk, visit little shops, eat at a restaurant, or just sit and watch the waves roll in before heading home in the afternoon. Our plans are flexible so depending on the number who sign up we can take the van or cars. Mike Baylous, very familiar with Seaside, is our “tour director.” Get your name on the sign-up sheet so we can make plans. The van cost will be $10. On Tuesday, August 11 we will drive to Rainier, OR to visit the “Friendship Farm” of Terry and Dinah Faw. Our previous visit some time ago was so special, several folks have asked us to make a return trip. We will see the beautiful fields of lingonberries and blueberries and we will enjoy a visit in the old farmhouse with the charming hosts. We should be able to buy berries, perhaps will need to pre-order. Watch the bulletin for details and add your name to the Sign up list in the Narthex.

Before heading home, weather permitting, we will have a picnic lunch. The van cost will be $10.

Men’s Breakfast Group

The Men’s Breakfast Group: has moved into the summer break after a season of fellowship combined with entertainment and education. Programs ranged from Indian artifacts to how Ebay works as well as a road race in Italy. Doug and Judy and Darcy and Brent blessed us with their music, talent and spirit during the holidays. Thanks to Fred and Crystal, we were always well fed and Dale kept us singing while Duane and Bill always told us when and what time to show up. The group meets for food and fellowship on the third Saturday of each month, generally at 8:00 AM. All men are welcome and we would love to see you in September to help us kick off a new year. If you have something of interest you would like to share as a program, please contact me. For all the regular attendees, thank you for sharing; and, for the rest of you, please come, we would love to get to know you. – Blessings, Steve Tommerup
