The church congregation voted to designate some of the money from the sale of the “Trinity tower” to help local needs. $4000.00 was recently sent to the Council for the Homeless, for a special use fund, to assist people who are homeless or about to lose their apartment. Here is a “thank you email” with some good news.
Dear Duane, Peggy, and Marilyn,
We will send an official note to the church, but I wanted to share our thanks with you for the Housing Relief Fund donation from Trinity Lutheran that came in today’s mail. Just today we helped this big-hearted man secure a new apartment with the Housing Relief Fund. He’s been living in this tent for over a year. He has disability income to rent a subsidized apartment and just needed help with deposit and initial rent. I’m going to his new place to take an “after photo” after he moves in. 🙂
AND our annual luncheon is coming up on October 20. We have an amazing keynote – Israel Bayer of Street Roots, great raffle prizes, and Columbia Sportswear employee store passes for each attendee.

Thank you to you and Trinity Lutheran!!
