Along with the staff, the adult volunteers of Trinity’s Children’s Ministry seek to share love of Jesus through their nurturing and by teaching Bible stories from our curriculum.
For children ages 3 through 5th grade, Sunday School begins in Stolee Hall at 9:30 each Sunday morning during the school year. After an opening of song and celebrations, children leave with teachers to go to their classrooms where they learn hands-on lessons from our Growing in Christ curriculum. Our dedicated team of Sunday School teachers all have many years experience working with children.
JAMers stands for Jesus and Me, and is made up of TLC’s 4th and 5th graders. It is a pre-youth group who gets together once a month for fun activities and fellowship. JAMers have gone bowling, attended plays, climbed rocks, made pottery, ice skated, and put together boxes for Operation Christmas Child, to name just a few activities.
Trinity’s Children’s Choir welcomes children ages 4 and up to sing and learn together in a fun, creative environment. The Children’s Choir practices in Stolee Hall during the Sunday School Opening at 9:30, and sings for the congregation once a month, usually on the last Sunday of the month. All children are welcome.
Each year, Trinity children perform a play or musical, including the Children’s Christmas Program. All children of all ages are welcome to participate in any TLC production. The Children’s Christmas program is followed by gingerbread house making. If you have experience with drama, please get involved!
Holy Grounds Coffee Hour
Holy Grounds Coffee Hour takes place in the library each Sunday during the Education Hour, for parents and caregivers who have children in Sunday School. It’s a time to grab a cup of coffee, and sit and visit about the week, the book you just read, or your present parenting challenge. Hosts for Holy Grounds are needed to set up the Keurig and greet people who come by.
