Money from the sale of the Cell Tower lease with AT&T was decided by a vote of the congregation to include up to $100,000 for Local Outreach. The first project chosen by that committee was the Kids’ Club serving children from Lincoln School several afternoons during the school year. We have plans to continue again next year.
Focus of the committee is now turning towards ways Trinity might serve the homeless problem in our community. We are exploring the idea with Friends of the Carpenter and SHARE of providing the use of our showers located down in the basement Activity Room for a certain day or days during the week. And we might consider offering the opportunity of washing a load of clothes and possibly give folks some new underwear, socks etc. This is the early stages of looking this idea over. If you have interest in helping with brainstorming ways Trinity might help the homeless please give your name to Dominique in the church office.
A member of the committee will contact you.
