Dialogue Meeting After Worship on January 10, 2016
Dear Trinity Congregation Members:
Trinity has experienced tremendous change over the past few years. Of particular note has been the pastoral and staff transitions. Some of this type of turnover is not unusual in churches, but it feels as though Trinity has experienced more than our fair share.
These changes have led to questions about why this has happened and concerns within Council and the Congregation over organization and leadership.
Our Congregation is more of a family than a business and all members’ viewpoints are vital to the life of Trinity. The Council would like to invite you to a “Town Hall” style meeting after worship on Sunday, January 10th. The purpose of the meeting is for the Congregation and Council to share concerns, answer questions, and provide details about the steps have already been taken to try and improve how we function as one team.
Whether you share these concerns or not, I’d like to encourage you to attend the meeting so you can hear what your fellow congregation members are thinking and share your point of view. We are the body of Christ. We need each other to carry out the mission Jesus has given us.
For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly.Romans 12: 4 – 6
